Vonn Bell | 3 tackles, INT, PD

Vonn Bell didn’t rack up the stats this past Sunday against the Buccaneers but his interception of a tipped ball is enough to land himself on this list for week 11. Not only was this just some lame interception, it was actually Bell’s first interception of his career.

Bell also had three tackles and a pass defended on the day, but his interception was big in keeping the Saints ahead of the pass-heavy Buccaneers offense.

Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston totaled four interceptions on the day and luckily for Bell a line drive deflection off of linebacker Kiko Alonzo fell right into his hands and he took it back for a decent return.

Putting the interception aside, Bell is by far having the best year of his career as he has been one of the more disruptive players in the NFL so far this season. Right now the fourth-year safety has four passes defended, two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and one interception.

Bell is quietly having a pro bowl season in a much improved New Orleans secondary.

It’s a secondary that is much improved since last season after they finished No. 29 in the NFL in pass defense. This year, the Saints are currently No. 13 and Bell is a big reason for that.

Not only has he been disruptive, he’s been one of the better tacklers for the Saints too. He’s No. 2 on the team in tackles with 61 so far on the season. The Saints are one of the best teams in the NFL, and they will look to go even further in the playoffs this year behind Bell’s play.
