Garrett Wilson explodes onto the scene

True freshman wide receiver Garrett Wilson was impressive early in this season. So much so that I already have said that he needs more touches in the games to come.

I cannot think of a better time than right now to get Wilson’s confidence soaring before heading into big games against Penn State and Michigan. I predict that Ryan Day will call Wilson’s number early and often.

Look for some screen passes, jet sweeps and other easy ways to get No. 5 the ball. I’m looking for his breakout performance in this one: six receptions, 90 yards and two touchdowns.

Maybe a nice punt return or two as well?

It just has the feel this is the kind of game we will see the freshman wide receiver’s talent on full display.

Another young player could have a big day as well.
