Facing the Penn State Nittany Lions will be a battle as always, especially since their defense has been playing well and quarterback Sean Clifford is improving each week. Wide receiver KJ Hamler is also a nightmare in coverage, but Ohio State has the speed, talent and depth to be the aggressor.

The Game will be tricky and will loom large as always and the Wolverines are gaining confidence quickly.

Sure the conditions were not favorable for Notre Dame last Saturday, but that didn’t faze Michigan. After the Wolverines lost embarrassingly to the Wisconsin Badgers they bounced back and have played well since.

They out-gained Penn State in total yardage amidst a whiteout, and quite frankly could have, and should have, won the game. Jim Harbaugh’s team was only outplayed during the first quarter and a few minutes in the second before flipping the script completely, ramping up the defense and finding holes in the Penn State’s D.

Capping off the regular season in Ann Arbor with a victory would send Ohio State to Indianapolis eyeing the completion of a 10-0 conference record for the first time ever. However, the opponent in the Big Ten Championship Game is still in question as Minnesota currently has a two-game lead, but still has Wisconsin and Iowa on the schedule.

All three of those teams are in play, and the Buckeyes most likely doesn’t want to play the Badgers again in a rematch because beating a team twice in one year is difficult.

Ohio State is in a great position to be the first to win 10 conference games but will have tough sledding along the way.

The Buckeyes are confident in their chances though, as many regard them as the most complete, dominant team in the country. But will Ohio State be able to get through the Big Ten unscathed and accomplish this feat? Let’s hope so.
