Ohio State Football: Buckeyes have dominated Badgers in recent history
By David Wysong
2014 – Ohio State wins in Big Ten Championship to clinch CFP spot
This win was real sweet.
Many did not know if the Buckeyes could win this one because they were down to third string quarterback Cardale Jones after J.T. Barrett suffered an injury against Michigan.
They needed this win for a chance to get into the College Football Playoff though.
This ultimately was a blowout as the Buckeyes led 38-0 at halftime and went on to win 59-0.
Jones balled out as he was 12-of-17 through the air for 257 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Ezekiel Elliott also started his legendary postseason run with 220 yards rushing and two touchdowns against the Badgers.
This win led to the Buckeyes getting into the College Football Playoff with one loss where they defeated Alabama in the semifinals and Oregon in the national championship.
That game was a memory Buckeye fans will remember forever.
2013 – Ohio State wins in regular season matchup
This was a big early season matchup in Ohio State’s fifth game of the year as the Buckeyes were ranked No. 4 and the Badgers were ranked No. 23.

Ohio State jumped out to a 14-7 lead in the first quarter. Braxton Miller found Evan Spencer from 25 yards out to make it 7-0 and he then found Devin Smith from 26 yards to make it 14-7.
The Buckeyes then sunk a field goal in the second quarter to make it 17-7. Wisconsin however scored on a touchdown pass from Joel Stave to Sam Arneson a few minutes later to make it 17-14.
Miller got another passing touchdown on the last play of the half, tough, as he found Philly Brown from 40 yards out to give the Buckeyes a 24-14 halftime lead.
Miller scored one more touchdown pass in the third quarter on a one-yard throw to Brown to make it 31-14. That then proved to be too big of a deficit for the Badgers, even with Wisconsin scoring 10 more points in the fourth quarter to make it 31-24.
The Buckeyes went on to win the rest of their regular season games that year. They however lost to Michigan State in the Big Ten Championship and then to Clemson in the Orange Bowl to go 12-2 on the year.
Saturday’s game against Wisconsin could be a big, CFP landscape altering matchup between two powerhouse programs. Let’s hope the Buckeyes keep up their recent success.
