Ohio State Football: Previewing Friday’s game with Northwestern

Northwestern
Even though the Wildcats have not been what some thought they would be, there are still players to look out for this Friday on both the offensive and defensive side.
On offense a player to look out for is running back Drake Anderson who has 74 carries for 366 yards and three touchdowns. Also, keep an eye out for a couple of their receivers in J.J. Jefferson who has 10 Catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns and Riley Lees who has 19 catches for 139 yards.

One thing the offense will have to get better at is the passing game. Quarterback Hunter Johnson will have to somehow get past this strong Ohio State defense despite not having the best start with only 367 yards passing, one touchdown and four interceptions.
The big defensive stars are defensive back Travis Whillock with 44 tackles and one sack on the season, linebacker Paddy Fisher with 37 tackles and one interception, defensive linemen Joe Gaziano with 3.5 sacks and Alex Miller with 2.5 sacks.
The one thing the Wildcat defense must do is stop the run game which has been a dominant part of the Buckeye offense. Then, if they stop the run game the pass game will possibly struggle a bit.
We will see what happens.
Kickoff on Friday is at 8 p.m. and is now moved to the Big Ten Network instead of Fox Sports One. This is due to the ALCS Game four between the Astros and Yankees being postponed.
