Ezekiel Elliott | 28 att, 105 yards, 1 TD, 5 rec, 47 yards

While the Cowboys flopped on Sunday against the Jets, their star running back certainly didn’t.

When the passing attack failed to get going, and Amari Cooper went out with an injury, Zeke carried a majority of the load as they tried to comeback from down 21-9 to the 1-4 Jets. The comeback fell short, but you can thank Zeke for getting them to that point.

He carried the ball 28 times for 105 yards and a touchdown, the touchdown made it 21-15 in favor of the Jets, midway through the fourth quarter. He also added five catches for 47 yards in the passing game as well, proving his versatility once again.

Right now the fourth year running back has 491 rushing yards, good for sixth in the NFL. His five rushing touchdowns on the year is tied for sixth in the NFL as well.

While this has been a down year to Zeke’s standards, that can probably be attributed to his lack of a load early on in the season. Now with things ramping up and the Cowboys offense continuing to stall, you can expect the Cowboys to be continue feeding Zeke the ball in order to try to jump-start that passing offense.

Zeke will also be used directly in trying to get the passing offense going again and he showcased that on Sunday. Zeke has been known as a solid pass catcher since he entered the league and with the injuries at wide receiver continuing to pile up for the Cowboys, Zeke should continue to see an increased workload in that facet of the game as well.
