#11 Auburn at #2 LSU, October 26 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

In a battle between the Tigers, Joe Burrow will have another chance to cement a place in the Playoff for LSU and a spot in the Heisman race for himself. After this match-up against Auburn, LSU faces Alabama on the road before three games mid-tier SEC teams (at Ole Miss, home against Arkansas and Texas A&M).

If Auburn wins this game, it throws a wrench into the CFP race and force the other Tigers to win out. Auburn still faces a gauntlet (home games against Georgia and Alabama) after this game, but a win on the road against a tough LSU team would show these Tigers are for real.

3. #10 Georgia vs. #9 Florida, November 2 in Jacksonville, Florida

Simply put, the loser between the Bulldogs and Gators will be out of the CFP race with a second loss. If Florida wins, the schedule favors a jog into the SEC Championship Game and a chance to upset a SEC West team and throw their hat in the ring for the CFP.

If Georgia wins, they still face a talented (and ranked) Missouri team at home and Auburn on the road, while Florida’s only real test would be at Missouri. Both teams lost Saturday but are by no means out of the Playoff race.

4. #2 LSU at #1 Alabama, November 9 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama

If this list was in order of importance, this game would be at the top. Both teams will almost certainly be ranked in the top 5 (‘Bama shouldn’t lose before this, and a loss to Auburn wouldn’t drop LSU too far). This game will determine the SEC West Championship.

Like 2011’s Game of the Century, this game should be tight. However, unlike 2011 (which ended 9-6 in favor of LSU), offense will be the focus this time around with Tua Tagovailoa and Joe Burrow competing for the Heisman as well as the No. 1 ranking.
