Ohio State Football: Picking against the spread Week 7
Ohio State has the week off but there are plenty of interesting games on tap involving Top 10 teams which could shape conference races.
Well, last week I actually picked an Ohio State game correctly. I was 4-3 with Week 6 picks which brought my record to 14-8 for the season.
Here are my Week 7 picks of games involving Top 10 teams in the AP Poll. Point spreads by Bovada.
Alabama (1) by 17.5 over Texas A&M (24): In three games this season Texas A&M has given up at least 24 points and they will be trying to stop one of the best offenses in the country. Alabama will score early and often and will cover the spread.
Clemson (2) by 27 over Florida State: Clemson has been so inconsistent it’s hard to lay this many points. I’ll take Florida State and the points.
Georgia (3) by 21.5 over South Carolina: I would be more comfortable if the spread was 20 but I’ll still take Georgia and lay the points.
LSU (5) by 13.5 over Florida (7): Joe Burrow stays on a roll and LSU wins by at least two touchdowns.

Oklahoma (6) by 10 over Texas (11): When I’m not sure who even wins the game I certainly won’t give 11 points so I won’t here.
Wisconsin (8) by 10.5 over Michigan State: The way the Spartans got hammered by the Buckeyes I don’t expect them to bounce back in one week. I’ll take the Badgers to cover.
Notre Dame (9) by 11 over USC: The Trojans have played well at home but not on the road so I’ll take the Irish and give the points.
Penn State (10) by 3 over Iowa (17): I am all over the place here. I’ll take Penn State to cover and won’t be surprised if it’s a push.
