It feels like Heyward has been in the league forever now but that’s just because the veteran keeps producing for the Steelers. The menacing defensive tackle got off to a rough start in 2019 but was able to have a nice outing against the Bengals on Monday Night Football.
He was able to get in the backfield often, getting 2.5 sacks on Andy Dalton along with 6 total tackles on the day. He also forced a fumble that flipped momentum after the Bengals were driving.
The Steelers defense hasn’t been great this season, and it could be partly the fault of the slow start from Heyward. But he has just been too good for too long to continue not to produce. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of a revival of a season for Heyward.
That is going to do it for Week 4 of the top NFL Buckeye performers. Come back next week to see who plays their part in Week 5.
