Ezekiel Elliott:  Zeke did Zeke things in week two of the NFL season as he carried the ball 23 times for 111 yards and a touchdown.

His two-yard touchdown run put the game away for the Cowboys against the Redskins. Zeke saw many more carries in week two than he did in week one, a trend that should continue as weeks go on.

No matter what happens, as long as the Cowboys continue to feed him they will be Superbowl contenders.

Carlos Hyde:  Hyde has found a new home in Houston after their former starting running back Lamar Miller was ruled out for the season. Hyde wasn’t able to find the endzone at all during the day but he still had a respectable 90 yards on 20 carries in the low scoring win.

Hyde’s tough running through the tackles against the Jaguars helped to control the time of possession battle Sunday too. The Texans had the ball for more than ten minutes longer than the Jaguars.

Hyde also saw an increase in carries from week one to two as well so expect him to start finding the endzone soon. After short stints last year with the Browns and Chargers, hopefully Carlos can finally find a long-term home in Houston.

Jerome Baker:  I know it’s probably odd to see a Dolphins player on this list but Jerome Baker is quietly becoming a leader on a depleted defense. Baker led the Dolphins in tackles with 12 on the day and he leads them in tackles for the season as well with 21.

Even though the Dolphins obviously had a horrible day, that shouldn’t downplay the emerging force that Baker is becoming at linebacker. Fortunately for the LB, that sign of talent probably has the Dolphins looking to dump him off for draft picks soon.
