No. 6 Georgia

No, I’m not writing Georgia off completely. So far, they’ve had the easiest two weeks out of all the teams in the top six.

The Bulldogs won both games handily, but looked a little sluggish against Vandy in week one. I realize the error in nitpicking teams like this so early after having not played any kind of meaningful competition, but so far I do not believe that Georgia has earned a spot in the top four.

Conference supremacy and playing Alabama close in 2018 doesn’t grant a team automatic entry to the top four.

What Buckeye Fans Need to Know

More from Ohio State Football

The strength of schedule may have taken a hit over the weekend, and the Buckeye faithful might not have even known it. Michigan’s near loss to Army (America’s Heroes) might be a sign the Wolverines aren’t who we thought they were.

Actually, they’re exactly who I thought they were. Shea Patterson and the brand new, high-flying Michigan offense actually looks lot like last year’s, which if you didn’t know, was bad.

Nebraska also doesn’t look to be a quality win this year, as they’ve come out completely flat in the first two weeks of the season. The Huskers barely beat South Alabama at home and then choked a 17 point lead against the Colorado Buffaloes.

Ohio State fans should hope for continued success for Wisconsin and Maryland. The Buckeyes need all the help they can get to overcome that dreaded SEC perception.
