Ohio State Football: Top 5 Buckeyes in the NFL entering the season
Ezekiel Elliott
It’s a little funny to me as to how much negativity has surrounded Ezekiel Elliot’s name this off-season. While he did put himself in the situation by holding out for a larger contract, Zeke went through the media gauntlet.
Every sports talk show told you how invaluable running backs are to the game, slandering Zeke’s name in the process.

Elliott led the NFL in rushing yards for the second time in his three-year career last season putting up 1,434 yards. But it’s not the obvious things that Zeke does that makes him great.
He is the best pass catcher of any running back in the NFL and can provide fantastic pass protection as well, elite as far as running backs go.
It’s no coincidence the Cowboys made the playoffs the only two seasons Elliott played for the entire season.
So make no mistake, the Cowboys are immensely better with Zeke heading the offense, and just his presence takes the Cowboys from a borderline playoff team to a Superbowl contender.
He deserves all of the money that Jerry Jones paid him this off-season. And it’s why he comes in as the best Buckeye player in the NFL right now.
