Former Ohio State football star Braxton Miller has found it rough going in the NFL. Hopefully a little home cooking is just what he needed.

Braxton Miller hasn’t shined in the NFL like he did playing for Ohio State. However, he was signed recently by the Cleveland Browns and has an opportunity to make the roster.

In an article by Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com she reported Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens is looking forward to seeing how he plays tomorrow against the Detroit Lions after having 2 catches for 11 yards against the Tampa Bay Bucs shortly after being picked up by Cleveland.

On the other side of the state Michael Jordan is already making his mark. The former Ohio State lineman is set to start at guard the first game of the season according to BengalsWire. Should that come as a surprise?

MJ was the No. 14 ranked offensive tackle in the 2016 recruiting class so there was a good possibility he would be red-shirted his first year like many linemen are. No, he was the first Ohio State lineman to start his first college game since the great Orlando Pace a couple of decades before.

Jordan earned Freshman All-American honors that year playing left guard. The next year he was named First Team All-Big Ten.

He then performed well at center for the Buckeyes last season. It’s no surprise to me he has already impressed the Bengals coaching staff.

I’m glad for MJ because the young man certainly earned every accolade in college and now the opportunity to start in the pros. I wish the best for him, but can’t root for his team.

See, I have been a Browns fan for over 50 years so my eyes will be on Braxton Miller. Man I hope he makes the roster because I loved watching him play for the Buckeyes, and to see him play on Sundays would be a treat.
