No. 9 Gary Williams

I’ll be the first one to admit I had never heard of Gary Williams until I started researching this article. It’s really a shame we don’t hear his name associated with Buckeye legends you will see a little bit higher on this list. His stats are very impressive.

He was a solid producer on the field for Ohio State during in his four years. His lowest receiving yards total came during his freshman year where he had 479 yards on 25 receptions.

His Junior season is one of the best in Buckeye history as he caught 50 passes for 941 yards and 6 touchdowns. That year against Florida State he had one of the most impressive performances in Buckeye history.

Against the Seminoles, Williams caught 13 passes for 220 yards. 13 receptions is tied for second all-time for Ohio State in a single game and 220 yards ranks Williams third in receiving yards.

He ranks high on the list of Buckeye receiving records for a career as well. Williams ranks fourth on the all-time Ohio State receptions list with 154 and third in receiving yards with 2,792.

Williams is undoubtedly one of the most underrated Buckeyes of all-time.
