Ohio State Football: Top 10 Buckeye running backs of all time
By Ian O’Brien
2) Ezekiel Elliott
How can we not forget about this monster of a running back here. In his career as a Buckeye from 2013-2015, Ezekiel Elliott would rush for nearly 4,000 yards (coming up short at 3,961), 43 touchdowns and would have a receiving touchdown as well.
He would leave Ohio State after the 2015 season to pursue his NFL career. In the 2016 NFL draft, Elliott would get drafted by the Dallas Cowboys and we all know the story has played out.
He was the rushing leader in 2016 with 1,631 yards and in 2018 when he gained 1,434 yards on the ground. Elliott has scored 28 touchdowns in his career as a Cowboy and has rushed for a total of 4,048 yards.
Elliott is still eating and look for him to have many more rushing yards and touchdowns during his time as a Cowboy. The way he is playing now, I’d put Elliott in the Hall of Fame.
I was going to put Elliott at three and George at two since he won the Heisman and the other didn’t, but Zeke was just that good so I had to put him at number two.
