JK Dobbins has performed well for the Ohio State Buckeyes, but the question is can he rush for over 2,000 yards like Jonathan Taylor or not?

The last two seasons for Ohio State running back JK Dobbins have been great.  He has totaled 2,456 rushing yards on 424 carries and scored 17 touchdowns (7 in 2017 and 10 in 2018).

What people are asking about Dobbins is how dominant his run game will be in the 2019?  By that I mean, is it possible he could rush for over 2,000 yards in 2019?

In my opinion, I would have to say no for now.  The reason I say that is because with Justin Fields at quarterback coach Ryan Day might incorporate some different type of option plays. That may put the ball in Fields’ hands more often so he can do what he wants.

Dobbins will still have another good season and by no means will he struggle. But I think with Fields as quarterback, the offense will be a tad different to fit better with his style of play.

Not only that, Dobbins is not another Jonathan Taylor. At least not yet.

Look for Dobbins to rush for over 1,000 yards again during the 2019 season. and I think it will be better than last season as he was 43rd in rushing.  I am predicting he will rush for 1,200 to 1,300 yards and score 23 touchdowns on the ground.

This is something that can happen with Ohio State’s offensive line power. It’s a bold prediction I know, but it is a possibility. We will see what happens during the upcoming 2019 season.

During the Scarlet and Gray Game this spring, Dobbins saw limited action only rushing for nine yards on three carries. Don’t let that worry you though, coach Ryan Day was saving his legs for the fall.

Next. Wide receiving corps far ahead of one in 2014. dark

Make sure to comment and let me know if you think my prediction will come true about JK Dobbins, or if you think it will be something very different?  Once again, you can agree or disagree but I would love to hear what you guys think.
