With a new head coach and a new QB, the Ohio State Buckeyes have little to worry about. The brand is bigger than any one man.

Ryan Day is gearing up for his first season as head coach of THE Ohio State Buckeye football program.  For the first time in years we have a new regime trolling the sidelines along with a new quarterback behind center.

Some of us are nervous, some of us are optimistic, but there is one thing we can all agree on.  We are all excited for the upcoming season and the future!

A majority of other programs around the country would lower expectations with such changes to a program.  Not us, not the Buckeyes.

Over the years Ohio State has had, and lost some, legendary coaches.  From Paul Brown to Woody Hayes, and all the way to Urban Meyer.  As fans and followers of this program we’ve been luckier than most and truly blessed to have such a history.

So why should we lower that nervousness and raise that optimism coming into another new age? We can do that because the Buckeye brand is one of the biggest in the country.

Our brand is so big and so powerful we don’t rebuild, even with a new coach and QB starting.  We reload, not only with talented players on the field but talent running the show off the field.

More from Ohio State Football

When we lost legendary coach Woody Hayes we gained Earle Bruce.  We thought all was lost upon his departure.

Then in 2001 Jim Tressel took us back to the top. Urban Meyer came back home and took us to another level in recruiting and talent, and brought us another National Title.

Now it’s on to the next.  It is Ryan Day’s turn to continue that legacy and etch his name and the brand of Ohio State football into the next generation of our storied history.

We have nothing to worry about, whether it be now or three years from now.  The Buckeye brand has always been bigger than just one man, and it will continue to carry us to greatness.

Next. State of recruiting for the Buckeyes. dark

Just look at our list of great coaches, the achievements of the program over the years and the trophy room.  That says it all, and I am personally excited to watch the next chapter tie into the greatness of the whole story that is Ohio State Buckeyes Football.
