TCU QB Matthew Baldwin

Recruited by Ryan Day back in 2017, Baldwin’s decision to enter the transfer portal is a result of Justin Fieldsm joining the team and his desire to be closer to his hometown of Austin, Texas. Hailing from the same high school as Baker Mayfield, Baldwin’s high release and rare arm talent is a perfect match for Sonny Cumbie’s QB friendly spread offense.

Baldwin may have to sit out a year due to the NCAA transfer rules but he will most likely be granted immediate eligibility due to Coach Urban Meyer’s departure, similar to fellow teammate Tate Martell.

If granted immediate eligibility, Baldwin will battle with junior Michael Collins, senior Alex Delton, redshirt freshman Justin Rogers and true freshman Max Duggan for the Horned Frogs starting quarterback spot.
