Andre Wesson’s name pops up in these awards twice as he was clearly the most improved player on the Buckeye team this season. In his sophomore season, when Keita Bates-Diop and Jae’Sean Tate were the key players for the Buckeyes, Wesson only scored averaged 2.9 points per game.
But after the departure of those two players, Wesson took a much bigger role on both offense and defense. He became a primary defender and averaged 8.6 points per game on offense.
Definitely deserving of the most improved player award.
Honorable Mention: Kaleb Wesson
Andre’s younger brother made strides as well. Kaleb’s increased his points per game total by 4.4, rebounds by 2 and was a much more effective passer and defender.
There you have it, my Buckeyes end of the season awards.
