Ohio State Basketball: Week 17 Big Ten power rankings
Michigan secured two more big victories in week 17 with wins over Nebraska and Maryland. In the first game the Wolverines were led by Junior Center Jon Teske who had a career high 22 points in the win.
Then they defeated Terrapins by the score of 69-62 as Ignas Brazdeikis scored 21 points in the 9th time this season he has scored ay least 20 points. An incredible achievement for the freshman from Mono, Ontario. Michigan will play Michigan State in its final game of the season, a game with major implications for the regular season Big Ten title.
Maryland had a rough week 17 that included two losses. The first one to a scorching hot Penn State team that won it’s 4th game in a row. Maryland was outplayed from the jump falling behind by 22 points in the first half and losing the game 78-61.
Then the Terrapins suffered a tough home loss to the Michigan Wolverines in which they shot 43% from the field and 40% from three. They fell by the score of 69-62 and were led by sophomore phenom big man Bruno Fernando who had 12 points and 10 rebounds in the contest.
Maryland only has one game remaining on their regular season schedule and it comes against a Minnesota team on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament.
