Ohio State Basketball: Bucks move up in Week 14 Big Ten power rankings
After a stretch where the Wildcats were able to win two games in a row, they seem to have hit another rough patch as they have now lost four in a row. Northwestern dropped the first match up of week 14 against the previously win less in the Big Ten Penn State Nittany Lions. This is a bad loss for the Wildcats that is starting to culminate in a bad, injury riddled season for a team that showed flashes of promise in the non-conference.

Then they were inching ever closer to getting a huge upset win over the Iowa Hawkeyes on the road but blew a 13 point lead with two minutes left to go to lose their 9th Big Ten game. Northwestern has a chance to try to change their narrative a bit against lesser opponents Rutgers and Nebraska in week 15.
Penn State finally got the monkey off their backs on Monday as they gathered their first win of the Big Ten season on Monday. It took them all of 11 games to finally notch one in the win column, but the Nittany Lions were finally able to pull one out. It came against the Northwestern Wildcats in a game where they led by 2 at half and were able to sustain that lead in the second.
It was their leading scorer, Lamar Stevens who once again led Penn State with 18 points in the game as the Nittany Lions were able to snap an 8 game losing streak. The happiness was short-lived however as they lost a close game to the Buckeyes on Thursday.
Penn State will have a rough week ahead facing Michigan and Purdue in the span of four days.
