CB: Jeffery Okudah (JR), Sevyn Banks (Rs. SOPH)

CB: Damon Arnette (Rs.SR),  Shaun Wade (JR)

The Buckeyes secondary was gashed in 2018 ranking 86th nationally and 11th in the Big 10 in pass yards per game allowed, but that number should surely be cut in half this fall with the talent Ohio State posses on the edge. Jeffery Okudah is in for a breakout season after showing flashes of being OSU’s next big thing at corner in his first two seasons as he steps into a starting role.

The return of Damon Arnette is big for this unit as he provides experience. But young star Shaun Wade who led the Bucks in interceptions with three in 2018 may find time as one of the starting corners. Wade’s versatility will lead to him being used mainly in the Nickel but he will provide depth at safety if needed as he spent most of his freshman season in the back end of the secondary.

FS: Brendon White (JR), Isiah Pryor (JR

SS: Jordan Fuller (SR), Jahsen Wint (RS. JR)

The return of Jordan Fuller is a surprising one as he elected to forgo the NFL draft and come back to school for 2019. With the Buckeyes leading tackler last season returning, it causes less stress for new DC Greg Mattison as he has a defined leader in the defensive backfield.

Isiah Pryor and Brendon White will battle for the starting free safety spot with White (as of now) being the clear starter following a breakout season posting 46 tackles.

P: Drue Chrisman (Rs. JR)

K: Blake Haubell (JR)
