DE: Chase Young (JR), Tyreke Smith (SOPH)

DE: Johnathan Cooper (Rs. SR), Zach Harrison (SR)

Nick Bosa is gone but the amount of depth and talent the Buckeyes have on the defensive line is remarkable. Chase Young is arguable one of the nation’s top pass rushers posting 9.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss in 2018.

He will share time with Tyreke Smith, the 34th ranked prospect in the 2018 recruiting class. Johnathan Cooper and incoming 5-star Zach Harrison will battle for time at the opposite starting end spot.

DT: Taron Vincent (SOPH), Haskell Garrrett (JR)

NT: Robert Landers (Rs. SR), Davon Hamilton (Rs. SR)

The Buckeyes gave up 4.52 yards per rush in 2018, easily the most this decade by an Ohio State defense. Dre’Mont Jones is gone but this is still a very talented unit that should help aid in lowering that number in 2019.

Taron Vincent and Haskell Garrett will strive to replace the production the Buckeyes lose with Jones’ departure. Run stuffer Robert Landers and fellow senior Davon Hamilton round out what should be a stout interior line for OSU.
