More from Ohio State Basketball

Purdue ends their non conference season on a better note than they started off with, but it was anything but a successful start for the Boilermakers who are used to being a power house in the Big Ten.

They just weren’t able to come through against the top competition on their early season schedule and that is why they head into Big Ten play just 8-5 on the season. Purdue does have a win in conference and will look to get their second over Iowa on Thursday.

No surprise Penn State, Rutgers and Illinois all find themselves rounding out the bottom of the Big Ten after week 8. Penn State and Rutgers found themselves even more separation from the Fighting Illini though as they both won their final non conference games while Illinois fell to Florida Atlantic in a very disappointing loss.

All three of these teams will be looking to move up into the rankings and they still have their shot if they can impress in Big Ten play.
