Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and Washington’s Chris Peterson are two of the most respected coaches in college football.
The two will go head to head tomorrow in the Rose Bowl in a game that looks to be strength against strength.
Urban Meyer’s record is 186-33, he has won three national titles and has an 11-3 record in bowl games. Chris Peterson’s record is 139-32 and has won multiple conference titles at different schools.
Now for the matchup to watch on the field.
Washington has the No 12 defense in the nation and Ohio State has the second best offense.
The Buckeyes have the second best passing attack as well but the Huskies are only giving up 185 yards per game through the air. And they held Washington State Cougars’ quarterback Gardner Minshew to 152 yards passing.

I don’t think Washington can hold Dwayne Haskins to that total though with the weapons at his disposal and I think he will throw for 300 yards. But the Huskies’ defense will probably make him earn those yards. Ohio State may have success running the football.
The Buckeyes have two outstanding running backs in J.K. Dobbins and Mike Weber who can do some damage on the ground and both were playing well at the end of the regular season.
The Huskies are capable of putting points on the board as well. Miles Gaskin is a terrific running back and Jake Browning is one of the best quarterbacks in the country.
This has the potential to be an outstanding Rose Bowl Game with two very good teams who have outstanding coaches.
