Northwestern moves up a spot on the list thanks to a win over in-state opponent Chicago State. The Wildcats are always a team to watch for come Big Ten time as they will be a tough opponent.

More from Ohio State Basketball

They are off to a good start this season going 8-3 through 11 games.  Northwestern’s next opponent is Oklahoma this Friday.

Purdue has lost 4 of their last 5 games and are currently on a 2 game skid with losses to Texas and Notre Dame. While all five of those games were against major conference opponents and the Boilermakers don’t have a bad loss, you have to win those games at some point.

It will be interesting to see what Matt Painter’s crew will do come Big Ten season. For now though, the Boilermakers look to get back on track against Ohio this Saturday.

Penn State, Rutgers and Illinois wrap up the bottom of the list as all are having less than impressive seasons so far. Penn State and Rutgers started out alright but have since fallen off a cliff.

dark. Next. Big wins, losses on 2019 Early Signing Day

Illinois has played 7 major conference games this season and lost all of them. Look for these three teams to be the bottom feeders come Big Ten play as well.
