Ohio State Basketball: Power rankings as Big Ten play kicks off
It is a shame the Scarlet Knights are not higher on this list but that speaks to how good the Big Ten has been this year. Rutgers hung with Michigan State at home but eventually fell after getting a victory over Miami earlier in the week.
This Scarlet Knight squad is better this year so it will be interesting to see how they fare as the season moves along.
The teams that Minnesota has defeated have a combined record of 22-22, and the two losses were to teams with a combined 13-2 record. That should tell the story for the 6-2 Golden Gophers as they suffered a conference loss in which the Buckeyes looked better in almost every way possible.

Minnesota will look to right the ship against hot Nebraska.
The Illini rounds out the bottom of this list due to their 2-6 record, the only Big Ten team not above .500 on the season. Illinois had a difficult week suffering tough losses to Notre Dame and Nebraska.
It’s still hard to put a finger on whether or not the Illini are as bad as their record shows though as they have only played two teams that aren’t from a major conference.
