One Ohio State football player some think may leave early for the NFL is Dwayne Haskins. If he does, here are teams that may be interested in the big-armed QB.

The play of Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins has been eye-catching all season. There are still meaningful games left to play which is why we haven’t heard a peep from the Buckeye play-caller about the draft.

With his talent, it would be no surprise if he declares for the 2019 NFL draft after all is said and done this year.

If Haskins does decide to leave Ohio State in favor of professional football, a quarterback with his play in the pocket, down field arm, accuracy and game IQ could be beneficial to an NFL team immediately.  As the current draft order stands, the first team with a need at quarterback is the New York Giants.

The Giants have an aging quarterback they want to move on from in Eli Manning. Haskins Isn’t expected to be the first QB taken overall, but seeing that happen with the Giants would not be a jaw-dropping reach.

Haskins has the ability to get the ball downfield to Odell Beckham Jr. Coupled alongside Saqoun Barkley, a play action threat with those two could be deadly.

However, If the Giants do go with the likely first overall QB Justin Herbert there are other QB thirsty teams just behind them in the current draft order. Jacksonville is one of them.

The Jaguars do have a problem at QB. They put all of their faith in Blake Bortles, who has put up good numbers this year, but they haven’t had the same success as last season. Like the Giants, Jacksonville doesn’t have a quarterback who is a real threat to beat you with downfield throws.

Nonetheless, their defense is still solid and a talented quarterback could bring the wideout production back to Jacksonville. This has been an off-year for the Jags’ run game that carried the team to the playoffs last year. With that strength returning, Dwayne Haskins could do a lot for Jacksonville in 2019.

Tampa Bay has been involved in a quarterback controversy of its own. Both of the Buccaneer signal callers have put up gaudy numbers at times this season but neither has demonstrated the traits to lead a franchise. The QB who was expected to be that guy is often in legal trouble.

Their wide receiver core is strong with Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson should he decide to stick it out in Tampa. The two current Buccaneer quarterbacks have made a living throwing the ball deep which is Haskins specialty.

Currently at 10th in the 2019 draft order, Tampa may be Dwayne Haskins’ future home.
