Q: Who has been the most consistent and trustworthy [Ohio State] player in your opinion?

A: Terry McLaurin does not get enough credit or is often overshadowed when talking about the go-to guys on the Buckeyes. In two of Ohio State’s biggest games this season, McLaurin has come up humongous in big moments and neither of which involved catching a big time pass in the clutch.

Against Penn State, he laid a vicious block taking out three defenders at once for KJ Hill to score the game winning touchdown to complete another fourth quarter comeback. Last week against Michigan State, McLaurin, as a gunner, helped Drue Chrisman down two punts side of the 5-yard line.

Q: What are the main issues to clean up in this last game before [The Game]?

A: The main issues Ohio State needs to clean up before the game are both offensive line related.

First, Michael Jordan needs to be able to consistently snap the ball directly to the quarterback. There have been multiple times this season where he has sent an errant snap which causes a loss of down or even a turnover like we just witnessed. His bad snap against the Spartans cost Tate Martell a few more in-game reps as well as kept potential points off the board.

Secondly, the Buckeyes’ offensive line as a whole needs to protect Dwayne Haskins better. Haskins had a hand in his face or was pressured often in the first half, especially the opening quarter. Isaiah Prince has been getting beat to the outside during a number of games this season. If his performance is not cleaned up and polished, Chase Winovich, Rashan Gary, and the rest of Michigan’s defensive line would likely disrupt Haskins all game.
