Q: When will [Alabama’s] streak [versus] LSU finally end?

A: If I had to guess when Alabama will finally lose a game to LSU, it would be in 2020 which is the next time the game is played in Baton Rouge. The Tide rarely lose at home, especially coming off of a bye week which they have scheduled every year before they play the Tigers.

Q: If West Virginia runs the table, would you put them in the playoff?

A: Unless the Mountaineers look like extremely impressive and play stout defense in the coming weeks, I would leave them out of the playoff. West Virginia plays in the Big XII which one of the weaker conferences aside from its top three teams, plus they would not have a more impressive resume than the Big Ten Champion if it is Ohio State or Michigan.

However, if another spot opens up because of a loss by Clemson or Notre Dame, then I would present an argument for West Virginia to make the playoff although a berth would still not be guaranteed.
