2. Clemson

Ranking Last Week: 2

Week 10 Result: Win vs. Louisville 77-16

Upcoming Week: Away @ Boston College

I am hesitant to say this but, it seems like it is becoming a 1 and !-A situation when it comes to the best team in the nation this season. Clemson, after struggling in a win over the Syracuse Orange with Trevor Lawrence out with an injury hasn’t looked back.

Since that close win, the Tigers have outscored their opponents 240-36. The latest victory coming against a now 2-7 Louisville Cardinals team in which they put up 77 points.

If anything signifies just how soundly beaten the Cardinals were it’s this, Chase Brice threw for 110 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 7 attempts.

Lawrence pitched in 2 passing touchdowns of his own and Travis Etienne ran for 153 yards and a touchdown. Clemson will look to keep things rolling against a ranked Boston College team this week.

Week 10 Result: Win at LSU 29-0

Upcoming Week: Home vs. Mississippi State

It was no shock to see Alabama come out on top in their showdown against LSU on Saturday, but the Tigers were soundly beaten as they weren’t able to muster a single point in the loss. This is scary for the rest of college football as it has been the offense that has been the Crimson Tide’s strength this season as the defense has shown some holes such as giving up 31 points to Arkansas.

The defense showed up Saturday night though as they held LSU to 196 total yards. On offense, it was business as usual as Alabama accumulated 576 total yards and were led once again by Tua Tagovailoa who threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns.

Damien Harris led the ground attack for Alabama as he rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. It doesn’t appear the Alabama train will be stopped any time soon but Mississippi will try their hand at it next week.
