Iowa at Purdue

The Boilermakers could not handle success and neither could Iowa.

With Wisconsin’s loss to Northwestern, both teams had perfect opportunities to stay in the hunt in the West. Neither team capitalized.

This is a knockout game.

Purdue could not do anything right on offense against the Spartans.  With three interceptions, David Blough reverted to his 2016 self.  The defense allowed a freshman quarterback to pick them apart.

Can the team get its momentum back?

I think the Boilermakers play much better, but the Hawkeyes have the second-best defense in the conference for a reason.  They are strong up front.  That will be the difference in the game.

Iowa wins a close game 24-20.
