8. Carlos Hyde

Last Week: 6

Week 6: 14 Carries | 34 Yards | 2.4 Y/C
Season: 114 Carries | 382 Yards | 5 TDs | 3.4 Y/C

Carlos Hyde has now gone two straight weeks without scoring a touchdown and that spells trouble for me when looking where to put him in these rankings.

He isn’t the type of running back that is going to break long gain after long gain like another Buckeye running back we know of. That naturally means that his yards per carry number is going to be lower as well as his general rushing numbers.

At Ohio State Hyde was known to be a reliable red zone threat, and through the first few games of the season he was effective close to the goal line for Cleveland.

That success has tailed off a bit and as a result so has his place in these rankings.

7. Raekwon McMillan

Last Week: 10

Week 6: 5 Tackles | 1 Assist
Season: 20 Tackles | 11 Assists | 2 TFL | 1 FR

Raekwon McMillan was always a very fundamentally sound linebacker at Ohio State. It is something he obviously carried with him to Miami as he has been off to a good start on a surprisingly good Miami defense.

20 tackles and 2 tackles for loss 6 games in to your rookie season is nothing to be ashamed of.
