Each week we look back at how former Ohio State football playing in the NFL performed after all of the games have been played. There was an interesting matchup in week 6.

One of the most exciting NFL games of week 6 saw a pair of former Ohio State football players on opposing defenses.  Malik Hooker of the Indianapolis Colts and Darron Lee of the New York Jets both walked away from the contest having influenced the game positively for their teams.

Lee, whose team won the game, had the better numbers on the day. He had six solo tackles, two assisted, a pass deflection and an interception. He returned the interception 25 yards. Lee lead the Jets in tackles.

For the Colts, Malik Hooker pulled in an interception, had a tackle and a deflected pass. The Jets are, for the most part, lacking any sort of pass threat deep and between the numbers.

Thus, Hooker was involved very little in the game. However, his sideline interception showed his ability to be a ball hawk out wide as well.

Also, in this game Jet’s wide receiver Terrell Pryor played well. He had five receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown.

On the season he has been targeted 22 times, which is half of the team’s leading target. This game was another chance for Pryor to prove his worth and make a claim for top receiver for rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. Should he continue to score he will be looked for more often.

Taking a look around the league, Ezekiel Elliot had 117 total yards on 24 rushes and a reception in a much-needed Cowboys win. He scored a rushing touchdown from the 15 yard line. Zeke now has 25 rushing touchdowns in 31 games played so far in his short NFL career.

dark. Next. Can Buckeyes make the playoff with these issues?

Eli Apple recorded six tackles, two assisted tackles and three deflected passes. That number of pass deflections more than doubled his PD total for the season, which previously stood at two.
