Quarter 4:

Offense:

The very first play of the final quarter was a long 3rd down conversion for the Buckeyes. They continued where they left off in the third quarter though and put together a long drive that ended in a short field goal.

On the second drive of the quarter, the Buckeyes were backed up into their own territory after Isaiah Pryor’s interception. They were not able to do much of anything as it ended in Drew Chrisman’s second punt of the game.

With a short field to work with, Haskins put the game on ice throwing a strike over the middle to K.J. Hill for Hill’s second touchdown reception of the game.

The fourth quarter was mainly positive but I can see a problem coming in future games, the Buckeyes had trouble finishing in the red zone and that is something that you cannot do against better teams. All of the Buckeye touchdowns came from long passes, and while that isn’t necessarily a bad thing it may come back to hurt us later on.

Grade: B+

Defense:

For all of the slack that I have given the Buckeye defensive line, the secondary played very well as Isaiah Pryor made an impressive interception on Minnesota’s first drive of the quarter that stopped Minnesota deep in Ohio State territory.

On the ensuing drive, the defense made a huge stop, forcing Minnesota into a long 48 yard field, one in which they missed.

Grade: A-

Special Teams:

Drew Chrisman made another booming punt in this quarter from the Buckeye’s own end zone went into Minnesota territory.

Next. Can Buckeyes make the playoff with these issues?. dark

The coverage on the punt was a little sketchy, but they kept them in their own territory so that is a plus.
