8. Cameron Heyward

Ranking Last Week: 6

Week 4: 2 Solo Tackles | 3 Assists

Season: 11 Solo Tackles | 5 Assists | 1 TFL | 1 Sack | 1 FF

Cameron Hayward started out strong on this list coming in at number 5 in week 2 but since then he has faded a little bit and comes in at 8 in week 4. He ranks sixth in total tackles on a Steelers defense that has definitely under performed throughout this season.

Some of that probably falls on the LeVeon Bell drama that has seeped throughout the team and affected the squad’s play. Nonetheless, Heyward has been a solid veteran presence on that Steelers line for several years and he continues to help the Steelers’ cause.

7. Gareon Conley

Week 4: 1 Solo Tackle | 1 Interception | 1 TD

Season: 7 Solo Tackles | 2 Assists | 1 Interception | 1 TD | 6 Passes Defended

Another new face comes onto this list and flies into the seventh spot primarily for his pick six against Baker Mayfield in the Browns’ highly controversial game. But Gareon Conley has done more than take interceptions to the house this season, he also has 6 passes defended which ranks second in the NFL only trailing his teammate Rashann Melvin.

Conley and Melvin have been essential to a Raiders defense that ranks second in the NFL in pass completions per game. Look to see his face on this list more as the season wears on.
