Collin Wieder:

More from Ohio State Football

The QB matchup is highly intriguing to me. For Ohio State, Dwayne Haskins is off to a scalding hot start, but he’s only had a handful of starts. Quarterback Trace McSorley is set to make his 32nd career start. He’s seen the ups and the downs of college football games. When it comes down to crunch time, I’m taking the three-year starter. He’s always shined in the biggest moments.

  • KJ Hamler is the receiving threat this year. A lot of people expected Juwan Johnson to take that big step forward, but he’s started off slowly. Hamler has made countless big plays in the passing game and the return game. I’d keep an eye out for him.
  • I’d say the running back group for Ohio State gives me some worry. J.K. Dobbins and Mike Weber might feast on a struggling run defense that surrender huge games to Illinois and Pitt.
  • Refer to question one
  • Barry’s got that one. Unfortunately, I’ve never attended a PSU game.
  • My final score goes to the Buckeyes 42-38, but it’s honestly a toss-up. As I said earlier, if it comes down to Penn State having the last possession, McSorley can always make something out of nothing.
  • I want to thank Barry and Collin for sharing their takes on the big game.
