Urban Meyer was back on the sidelines in ‘The Shoe’ today and his Ohio State football team continued on their roll.

The Ohio State football team secured their first win of the 2018 season with Urban Myer on the sidelines. They defeated Tulane by a final score of 49-6.

Dwayne Haskins and the offense continued their run of excellent production. Haskins finished the day before the end of the first half with five touchdown passes.

Parris Campbell, Binjimen Victor, Austin Mack, and Terry McLaurin each hauled in scoring reception delivered by Haskins. J.K. Dobbins also scored on the ground.

The most notable receiver was Parris Campbell. He finished the day with eight catches for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns, as reported by ESPN.com.

The offensive line earned their mention on the day by buying their quarterback time. Haskins was able to operate without pressure virtually his entire time on the field, and their athleticism on run blocking opened things up for the other backs.

Greg Schiano’s defense was also on display. The defensive line stepped up in the absence of top prospect Nick Bosa. As a unit, ESPN.com reported the Silver Bullets only allowed 256 yards of total offense and one rushing touchdown.

Meyer elected to give his second team offense plenty of reps in the second half. They struggled to match the intensity of the first team but showed bright spots nonetheless. Tate Martell scampered for a one yard touchdown on their last drive.

However, the contrast between the first and second team offensive line was evident. The size and athleticism of the two groups is not too different from one another, so it is safe to say a lack of experience may be to blame.

Whatever it is, Tate Martell clearly faced more pressure than his first team counterpart.
