Dwayne Haskins has the Ohio State football team rolling, holding onto the No. 4 ranking in the AP Poll. Another Buckeye has his team performing well also.

Dwayne Haskins’ performance was an integral part in the win over TCU Saturday which kept the Ohio State football team ranked #4 in this week’s AP Poll. Quarterback Joe Burrow has now led LSU to a No. 6 ranking with a win over Auburn.

That means two Buckeyes have their respective teams ranked in this week’s AP Top 10.

Even though Burrow now plays for the Tigers, he earned a degree from The Ohio State University. That means he will always be considered a Buckeye.

Just think, Haskins and Burrow were battling for the starting quarterback position a few short months ago. Congrats to both for their success the first three games of the season.

The SEC now has four teams in the Top 10 and six in the top 25. The Big Ten still has five teams in the Top 25 but Wisconsin, Michigan and Michigan State are now ranked between 18-24.

I think teams in both conferences are ranked about right. Did I just write that?

The ACC and Big 12 have four ranked teams and the Pac 12 has three. The American Athletic Conference has one ranked team and two Independents are included.

Here is this week’s AP Top 25:

Quick takes after week 3:

While the Big Ten looked as though they had five strong teams at the top entering the season it doesn’t look as though that’s the case now. However, the SEC certainly has strong contenders, especially in the West Division.

The ACC was thought of as a strong conference last year but not at the moment. Clemson should roll and make the Playoff once again

The Big 12 race should be an interesting one. With the talented quarterbacks in the conference I wouldn’t want to predict a game between any of the top teams.

Stanford or Washington could make the College Football Playoff simply because they won’t have many difficult games.
