This is the year for him to deliver payoff to the Wolverine faithful.
A loss by Notre Dame means Michigan would need to run the table to make it to their first College Football Playoff invitational. Possible, but unlikely.
This will be a low-scoring game decided by turnovers. I think that favors the Wolverines. Michigan wins 21-17.
