The Ohio State Buckeyes defensive line, A.K.A, Larry Johnson’s Black Belts, were completely dominant during 2017. So why not add another 6’2″ 285 pound monster who can both stop the run and rush the passer from defensive tackle to the mix?

Vincent has the size and ability to come in and immediately play for Ohio State, and nobody is questioning that. When Vincent’s time comes, whether it is next year or not, Vincent will be a gigantic presence, literally and figuratively, in the middle of the Buckeyes front.

Vincent’s chances of playing in the coming season don’t look great, solely as a result of how deep the Buckeyes defensive line is. Because Urban Meyer has recruited the defensive line so well, it doesn’t look like there is any space for Vincent to get playing time.

Despite this, don’t count Vincent out completely. He is such a talented player and is so versatile that Urban Meyer could very likely find a role for him to just get enough game reps under his belt. That way he could make an impact in his second season.

Watch out for Taron Vincent to make a push in camp for playing time and play a role for the 2018 Buckeyes.
