Ohio State seniors will be honored Saturday.

The 2013 recruiting class will go down as one of the best in the history of Ohio State football.  On Saturday, it will be the last time members of that class will play a down in Ohio Stadium as seven players from the class will take the field.

Since the first time players from the 2013 class saw action, the Buckeyes have won 57 games and lost just 8. While the players who will be honored Saturday were redshirted their freshman year, they were a part of the 2014 national championship season and some were key members on that team.

Here are those fifth year seniors from that outstanding recruiting class who are about to run onto the field at ‘The Shoe’ for the final time.

  • Quarterback JT Barrett
  • Center Billy Price
  • Tight end Marcus Baugh
  • Defensive end Tyquan Lewis
  • Linebacker Chris Worley
  • Defensive tackle Tracy Sprinkle
  • Defensive tackle Michael Hill

Five players from the 2014 recruiting class will be honored as well:

  • Defensive end Jalyn Holmes
  • Safety Damon Webb
  • Safety Erick Smith
  • Offensive tackle Jamarco Jones
  • Quarterback Stephen Collier (He is no longer on the roster but has already earned his degree)

Ohio State’s record since the 2014 class first stepped onto the field is 45-6. Not too shabby.

More from Scarlet and Game

I would be remiss for not mentioning this group of guys as well because they are very respected by coaches and players alike. They joined the Ohio State football team as walk-ons with no guarantee of ever seeing playing time or earning a scholarship.

They are the scout team players who prepare the guys high on the depth chart for the upcoming game. Most only see playing time on special teams or at the end of a blowout.

But these guys will be honored along with the guys who received full scholarships on Saturday, just as they should be. They will be acknowledged here as well.

  • Tight end/fullback Zach Turnure
  • Wide receiver Elijah Goins
  • Cornerback Trevon Forte
  • Cornerback Cin’quan Haney
  • Safety Clay Raterman
  • Linebacker Jackson Hayes
  • Defensive end Nick Seme

I want to credit Cleveland.com for providing the full list of Ohio State seniors who will be honored Saturday.

Congratulations to each of these players who have already graduated or will soon earn their degree. Also, I want to thank them for the enjoyment they have given Buckeye fans during their time wearing Scarlet and Gray. And I wish them only the best in the future.
