Must Sits:

Jarrett Stidham- Auburn

Jarrett Stidham is a phenomenal quarterback, and one of the best players in the SEC; however, his matchup against the Clemson Tigers this week is quite unfavorable. Clemson has arguably the best defensive front in the nation and will be on their A game against a talented Auburn roster.

I think going forward Stidham is a great play, even against SEC defenses. But Clemson is a bad matchup and I think Auburn is going to struggle to score touchdowns.

There are several better options you can pick up at the QB position considering this is a prime Power 5 matchup, and many teams will face an FCS opponent. Love this guy going forward and think he could someday make a great NFL QB, but this week SIT HIM!

Sam Darnold- USC

I know, I know, I’m crazy right? This man is a Heisman trophy candidate, and arguably the best player in all of college football. Well the truth is that Darnold STRUGGLED week one… against Western Michigan, and with a matchup this week against Stanford I expect more of the same.

In week one, Darnold failed to throw for a touchdown and threw two picks against a defense who is anything but special. The Cardinals are looking to bounce back from a few seasons of not living up to Stanford expectations and this is a perfect game to get their season moving.

I see this as an absolute trap game for 6th ranked USC, and especially for Sam Darnold. I hope he proves he is the great quarterback everyone thinks he will be, but this week SIT HIM!

Wilton Speight- Michigan

More from Scarlet and Game

That team up north has a matchup week 2 that is very interesting. The Cincinnati Bearcats play the Wolverines for the first time in program history Saturday and I don’t see this game being a blowout.

Wilton Speight, getting the start week two may seem to be a solid play for your team, but be warned! Luke Fickell, former Ohio State defensive Coordinator, is now the head coach of the Bearcats and would love nothing more than to give the Wolverines a little scare.

During his time at Ohio State coach Fickell had great success against Michigan and knows how they play. In the end, I think Michigan will turn to their run game and handle CInci, but I don’t think Speight will be the one to get the job done.

Next: Barrett, Buckeyes must rise up vs. No. 5 Sooners

I don’t see the Wolverine QB finding the end-zone, and I am promising you putting him on your bench is the move! Good luck and see you next week.
