Nick Chubb- Georgia

A year ago Nick Chubb had his sights set on becoming the best running back in college football, and due to injury, that goal was postponed. Georgia, thankful to have Chubb back, opens their season week one with a home game against Appalachian State.

Now you might be looking puzzled, thinking that this is an easy matchup, and Chubb should easily rack up the yards. But BE CAREFUL. Teams treat players coming off a serious injury as Chubb is differently, and are often times more cautious.

Chubb is going to play, that isn’t in question, but how many downs he will be on the field is something to worry about. The Bulldogs will easily handle APP State and wont need Chubb to win the game.

I predict that Chubb will rush for about 100 yards in the first quarter and then really only see a few more snaps the rest of the game. Now while you may think your fantasy team takes top priority, the Georgia coaching staff all know it isn’t worth the risk of re-injury early in the season when you are blowing out a team.

Obviously keep Chubb going forward but there are much better options you can pick up and play week one.
