It’s interesting that the voters in the AP Poll think highly of the teams at the top of the conference but not so much after that. Four teams are ranked in the top 11 with Penn State (6), Wisconsin (9) and Michigan (11) joining 2nd ranked Ohio State, but that’s it. I guess there aren’t any other good teams in the conference.

It is quite an acknowledgement of the strength at the top of the BIG Ten by the AP voters. But couldn’t one more conference team have been added between 12-25 while five SEC teams were?

I think Northwestern should have been. And possibly Iowa will make some noise once the season gets rolling. I think both teams are capable of giving Wisconsin difficulties while many think the Badgers will run through the West Division.

The voters think highly of the ACC though.
