Ohio State Recruiting: Decision By Jeremy Ruckert Leads To Big Things?
Another terrific player added to the 2018 Ohio State recruiting class?
Urban Meyer has the No. 2 dual threat quarterback in his 2018 Ohio State recruiting class, but no tight end or wide receivers to throw to. That could change this afternoon when the nation’s No. 1 TE Jeremy Ruckert is expected to make his school choice, and most are expecting it will be Ohio State he chooses.
That could lead to something big for the future of the Buckeye passing game. It’s possible that two top wide receivers could be joining the class soon as well. If all three commit, to go along with the talented players in the offensive backfield already committed to the Ohio State recruiting class, it would be an unbelievable haul of skill position players for Urban Meyer. But first, about the big tight end.
Ruckert is listed at 6 ft. 5,5 in. and 238 pounds. He is the No. 1 ranked tight end in the country and runs pass patterns like a big wide receiver.
Ruckert’s stellar performance at ‘The Opening’ got rave reviews by everyone who watched him. It even elevated him to five-star status in the 247Sports recruiting service.
The Crystal Ball prediction at 247Sports has Ruckert 100 percent Ohio State. I guess we will find out later today if every voter is correct. He would be quite a get for Urban.
Then, what if wide receiver Kamryn Babb would commit when he visits Columbus for Friday Night Lights later this week. Some have speculated he may do just that.
Babb is the No. 8 WR and ranked as the 44th best player overall in the 2018 recruiting class. He has been a priority target for Urban Meyer and the Crystal Ball predictions have him 100 percent Ohio State.

It has been reported that L’Christian Smith will make his college decision known pretty soon as well. Urban hopes the Crystal Ball predictions are correct because the voters have him at 73 percent Buckeyes.
Smith has freakish size and talent for a wide receiver. He stands 6 ft. 6 in., weighs 210 pounds and has D-1 basketball skills as well as being an outstanding receiver.
Smith had seriously considered playing for Kentucky because coach Mark Stoops looked at him as a wide receiver, and he thought Ohio State may have looked at him as a tight end. It has been widely reported that Smith and coach Meyer have that all ironed out now and it appears he is leaning towards playing for the Buckeyes.

Just think about how these three players could affect the Buckeye passing attack in the near future if they do commit. And the first of the three to join the 2018 recruiting class could be doing so very soon.
