All-Decade Ohio State Football Dream Team (2005-2015)

Wide Receiver No. 2: Devin Smith (2011-14)
If you were ever in need of a deep-threat at wide receiver, Devin Smith is your man. Judging by his kinesthetic ability to track, leap and adjust to the ball while it’s in the air, it comes at no surprise that Smith spent three spring seasons sprinting and jumping with the Buckeyes track and field team, and he put in a top five all-time performance for Ohio State in the high jump.
Using these abilities, he led the Buckeyes with 931 yards receiving and a Big Ten-best 12 TD’s in his senior season (2014 ). He also set an Ohio State single-season record with 28.2 yards per catch, a mark that was also tops in the NCAA in 2014. He was on the receiving end of a Kenny Guiton pass that represents the longest play from scrimmage in school history – 90 yards – vs. California
Thanks to all of these talents and efforts combined, Devin Smith has the fifth most receiving yards in Ohio State history (2,503) and the second most touchdown receptions (30).
