All-Decade Ohio State Football Dream Team (2005-2015)
By Billy George
Defensive Tackle No. 2: John Simon (2010-12)
Though slightly undersized, John Simon was a flat out beast! He reminds me of a miniature Joey Bosa and was a leader on and off the field whose efforts were simply exemplary. Repeatedly referred to as the heart and soul of the 2012 team by Urban Meyer, he was only the eighth two-time captain in school history. As a senior in 2012, he was named the Big Ten Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and received first-team All-Big Ten honors. He was also named a third-team All-American selection by the Associated Press. He finished his career with 154 tackles and 20.5 sacks (eighth most in Ohio State history).
