As with any list, there are some choices that get left out. Depending on your emotional investment in each opponent you certainly could have had a much different list than I did.
Growing up in Cincinnati I always place a lot of significance on playing the Bearcats. There is no way I could put that game in the top-five, but it was right up there to me with the others in terms of a satisfying game experience.
Any Buckeye fan knows how big beating Michigan is and I don’t want to devalue “The Game” by excluding it from the list. The 42-28 game was actually a close one and was tied as late as the third quarter. But the Buckeyes scored 21 unanswered points to pull away with the win. To me, the game probably lost a lot of excitement as I tend to mostly remember it for Barrett getting hurt. At the time it was a great win, but I think I speak for most fans when I say we were more concerned with what the future would hold without J.T., as opposed to feeling great about beating the Wolverines.
So what do you think? Are there any other games that I missed? Would you rank them any differently? Comment below with your thoughts, and get ready for a great 2015 season.
