Heuerman showed his strength during the bench press. Among tight ends participating, Heuerman tied for second place with Penn State’s Jesse James by doing 26 reps. To put that number into perspective, Devin Smith only did 10 reps. Heuerman didn’t participate in any of the running or leaping drills due to his sprained ankle that he played through during the end of the season.

His ability to both jump up to catch passes and block efficiently has impressed many scouts at the next level.
